This study in packaging was focused on designing for a particular demographic- apothecaries. I used found, vintage botanical illustrations to support the company’s origin story of a woman named Marigold. In the 17th century, Marigold wanted to be an apothecary but was not allowed to based on her sex. As a solution, she started making jams with medicinal blends in them to secretly heal those in need. The patriarchy can’t stop cleverness.
